I got my first horse when I was about 12 years old. A funny lookin' sorrel gelding named Shamrock. Looking back, Shamrock taught me a lot about riding - mostly how I didn't want to ride! He was a good horse with not a lot of training and a determined mind. I spent years riding a lot of horses just like him. Finally, I made my way to one of the first Buck Brannaman clinics held in the Ojai Valley and my love for the Natural Horsemanship style training took hold. I studied this riding style and attended clinics for many years and have been training horses and riders in this method ever since. I truly enjoy the challenge of finding the balance, timing and feel that it takes to make the horse and rider team up. Helping riders achieve this goal has been the driving force of my professional life.
